Deluxe Double Room with Shower

The entry point to the garden houses: a dark hardwood frame, carved lattice panels, a red-cushioned daybed and a canopy over the bed. How to get the right room at Ancient Hue

01

Match by building, not by name

The booking page uses generic names. Use the table above to know whether a name means a garden house or a villa, and quote the house name in your special request.

02

Sleep light? Ask for distance from the pool

Voices carry from the pools in the evening, and the lane wakes early. Ask for a room away from both, on request — ask the hotel when you book.

03

Travelling as a group? Ask for one house

Kim Phung has four rooms and Truong Tien two. Book the rooms together and ask the hotel to place you in the same house so you share its living room.

Honest note

Garden-house rooms are dim by nature — deep eaves and dark wood keep the light low all day — and two rooms in one wooden house share a structure, so neighbours can be heard. Villa rooms are brighter but less special. Room names on booking sites do not always match the photos, especially for bathtubs: if a bath matters, confirm it in writing.

Questions about rooms at Ancient Hue

Which rooms at Ancient Hue are in the wooden garden houses?

Deluxe Double Room with Shower, Deluxe Junior Suite, Premier Twin Room and Family Suite are in the garden houses; Executive Suite (Bach Ma House) and Deluxe Suite (Ngu Binh House) appear on some dates too. Deluxe King, Superior Twin, Queen Suite and the Alix Ayme suite are in the French villas.

What is the biggest room at Ancient Hue?

The Family Suite is the largest room type on the booking page at 120 m²: the whole of Truong Tien House with two bedrooms, two bathrooms and a living room. Bach Ma House, the hotel’s largest building at 160 m², sometimes appears as the Executive Suite, with two king bedrooms and jacuzzi tubs.

Can I book a whole garden house at Ancient Hue?

Yes, in practice. Truong Tien is sold whole as the Family Suite; Kim Phung’s four rooms and Bach Ma’s two can be booked together. The hotel quotes whole-house rates on its own price list; on the booking page, book the rooms at once and ask the hotel to keep you in one house.

Do the garden-house rooms at Ancient Hue have air conditioning?

Yes. The hotel’s house pages list air conditioning, a minibar, a safe, a TV and a private bathroom for each garden-house room, alongside the traditional fittings. The thick timber and deep eaves also keep the houses cooler than a villa room in the afternoon heat.

Which room at Ancient Hue has a jacuzzi?

Bach Ma House, the hotel’s largest garden house, has jacuzzi massage tubs in both of its bathrooms, according to the hotel. On booking sites it appears as Executive Suite when it is listed. It is themed on royal costume, with a real princess’s dress on display.

Do the villa rooms at Ancient Hue have balconies?

Photos of the French villas show balconies and terraces with planters’ chairs over the pool, and the listing says selected rooms have a balcony. Upper-floor rooms get the full balcony; ground-floor rooms open onto a terrace. Ask for an upper floor when you book if a balcony matters.

Can Ancient Hue add an extra bed to my room?

In some rooms only. The hotel lists extra beds in Truong Tien’s twin room, Kim Phung’s first floor, Ngu Binh House and Bach Ma House, and none in Vong Canh. Listings disagree on availability and price, so request it at booking and wait for the hotel to confirm.
